We had a great dinner this past Saturday! We dined around 4:30 PM. Although it was quite busy, we were seated quickly indoors without a reservation. The service was quick and efficient. Ruben was our server, and he made great recommendations and was very outgoing and helpful. We had the Fettuccine, Cioppino, and Mac n Cheese. For dessert, we had the chocolate chip cookie. The ambiance was beautiful, and the food was wonderful. Great place for date night or dinner with the fam! We enjoyed walking around the Capistrano Lights at the Mission and checking out the new River Street development after dinner.
Live music, fire pits, and good vibes. This places is super cute. There was not a long wait for my party of two. We just walked in on a Saturday night. We ordered the chimmichurri fries, Lavendar limeade, and Parmesan steak sandwich. All were delicious! The staff were very attentive and the vibes were just right. We sat outside and it was so warm. They have heaters everywhere and if you want to see any sports games, they have 3 tvs in the bar.
Food was tasty and our server was awesome. The vibe and decorations were cool. Really enjoyed eating outside on the patio.
A darling restaurant in SJC, Trevor's at the Tracks is built in the old train station so it was super cool to see some of the historical pieces of the station throughout the restaurant. The train literally passes right next to the restaurant. Came on a Saturday around 1:30 and it was pretty busy, around a 30 min wait but we enjoyed the opportunity to walk around the town and Rodeo at River street. There was also a live band that played classy music which was a great addition to the already fun ambiance. We enjoyed some cocktails and a cup of seafood chowder which was amazing. The fig and fungi flatbread was very flavorful and the steak and chimichurri frites were awesome! This is a great restaurant and would surely come back to enjoy.
Super cute decor and vibe. Met some friends here for lunch and so many menu options looked yummy it was hard to choose. Our waitress gave us some ideas and we went with it. I didn't get photos of everything but we shared a few starters suck as the Ahi Poke Nachos, Fig and Fungi Flatbread, Herb Fries, and a Cob Salad with Salmon. It's definitely a cute place to take the family and watch the train pass by or even a place to go with friends. The restaurant is huge but I hear it's crazy busy on the weekends and sometimes they have a live band play.
I absolutely LOVE Trevor's! This is a place we always bring friends and family when they come to visit. It's a gorgeous location! We love sitting on the patio in the summer. Service tends to be different every time. Bartenders are always 10/10 but servers tend to be hit or miss. I'm not sure if it's because we're young and they assume we won't tip or what? But it hasn't stopped us from going. I actually enjoy getting sub-par service and leaving a 20%+ tip just to see the servers reaction. Food is EXCELLENT! I always get chimichurri fries and ceviche! Delicious. Everything is always so good! Steaks, salads, sandwiches- all so good. You also have to get an Espresso martini 10/10! They're the best here!
Trevor's at the Tracks is my type of place. I've been wanting to venture to this restaurant for a while because a lot of people have recommended it to me. I started with a Purple Drank which was so refreshing. It was a rum drink mixed with juices and elderflower liqueur. I 100% recommend this drink. We weren't too hungry, so we ordered a few appetizers. We ordered the Southern Seafood Chowder, Ahi Poke Nachos, and Adobe Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The Southern Seafood Chowder was creamy and rich with seafood. I am not usually one that likes chowder, but this is a classic soup with a spinoff, unlike other chowders I've had. The Ahi Tuna Nachos were $24, but the portion was large. You could tell the fish was fresh and the the avocado was abundant. The soy sauce mixture that was spread on top wasn't too salty and tasty. The Adobe Chicken Lettuce Wraps were kinda funky to me. They were romaine lettuce filled with chicken and sauce. I think they were a large portion for an appetizer, but the flavor was lacking for me. A few more spices would change this dish. The ambiance of this restaurant was beautiful and the space is spread out proportionally. The grounds are trimmed nicely and the trains going by give a vibe that you can't find in most places. The staff was very accommodating with all requests we asked and quickly mannered. Overall, they know what they are doing here and I will be visiting again very soon. My review is a 9/10.
My family and I, along with another family, had the pleasure of dining at Trevor by the Tracks in San Juan Capistrano, and it was an unforgettable experience. This restaurant truly caters to all dietary needs--whether you're gluten-free, vegan, or a meat lover, there's something for everyone. The variety on the menu was impressive, and we enjoyed their selection of wines and cocktails. One of the unique aspects of this restaurant is its location right by the train tracks. We had the fun experience of watching the Amtrak Surfliner pass by multiple times during our two-hour dinner, which made it extra special for the kids. The ambiance was perfect with great lighting, making it a warm and inviting spot. Our server, Maia, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured that our meals came out quickly. Every dish was delicious, and the service made it even better. Trevor by the Tracks is truly a hidden gem in the beautiful city of San Juan Capistrano. If I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars, I absolutely would. Highly recommend it for families, friends, and anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience!
Place is a total vibe and our wait was only 20min for a Sat. Lunch. They text you when the table is ready. Great area with lots of amazing restaurants nearby and smaller cottage shops. There is a paid parking garage very close to restaurant for 2 dollars an hour or street parking. Upon entering this historic old train depot which was transitioned to this restaurant, you can almost feel like you're entering a different time. There are very different ambiance's in the different seating areas. I feel like you could eat here many times and almost feel like you're at a different place each time. Especially with a revolving menu. Clam chowder--creamy and perfect flavor (sweet and Smokey) and seasoned just right. The clams and ingredients (pretty much 7seas soup) were fresh and hit the spot. I couldn't get enough of it. The bowl is perfect for sharing or to be enjoyed alone. This is a must try and one of my, if not my favorite thing I tried. My wife got the melon salad and the ingredients were as fresh as they get. I believe it was the melon salad. It came together nicely and was a different taste to most generic salads found at places and was pleasantly refreshing. The Chimichurri Steak Fries were delicious and sized large enough for two or three people. This was a perfect appetizer to order or a meal on its own. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chimichurri sauce was on point. The potatoes had a nice crunch on the skin and everything came together nicely. The cheeseburger was large and came well recommended. My only issue with these burgers are their size. The first bites were ok but after a few minutes with the sauces spilling out of the buns, it gets soggy and just becomes a mess. It quickly became a knife and fork kind of burger. It wasn't bad, but with so many other exciting things on the menu, I would opt for another item next time. Amazing service, the server always had our glasses full and made sure we were well taken care of without making a large presence. Everyone at the restaurant was so friendly and helpful from the host to the server. Definitely check this place out if you can. It's a cool experience with great food.
